What the customer sees
The customer tracking page — what's visible and what isn't, plus the Customer view preview.
The customer-facing portal — the tracking page — is the page your customer opens from the link in their email. It's read-only and intentionally focused on one repair at a time.
Preview it from the repair
On any repair, click Customer view on the customer card to preview exactly what they see — current stage, timeline, anything you've shared. You can also send them the link from here so they can check progress without bothering you.
How the customer gets in
Each repair's emails contain a unique magic-link to that repair only. Customers don't have an account by default and can't see a list of their other repairs through that link.
What the customer sees
- The current stage and a progress slider of past stages — internal stages are hidden.
- Timeline notes you've marked customer-visible (internal notes are hidden entirely — no "redacted" marker).
- Documents you've attached and marked visible: purchase slips, photos, invoices, customer uploads.
- Their original intake details (contact info, product info).
What the customer doesn't see
- Internal stages and internal notes.
- Claims activity.
- Pricing, unless you've explicitly turned on commercial visibility for the linked partner involved.
- Other repairs (one link = one repair).
Branding
The tracking page renders in the theme assigned to the repair when it was created — logo, colours, and Display Name come from there. For forwarded repairs the customer always sees the owner's theme.
